  • The second of the CFPB's Request for Information is out.
  • Mulvaney anounces his pick for the CFPB's new Chief of Staff. 
  • As a part of the restructuring of the CFPB, the Office of Fair Lending & Equal Opportunity will no longer have responsibility for enforcement, instead the unit will focus on advocacy and coordination. The unit will be under the direct supervision of the acting director.
  • President of the MBA, David Stevens, encourages everyone to have an open mind about GSE reform. His article summarizes the draft discussion by the Corker/Warner Senate team.
  • In case Congress doesn't act quick enough on the GSE reform, the FHFA is preparing their own plan. The agency has the "administrative option"  to redesign F&F into "limited-life regulated entities".
